Prof. Dr. Dilek ARSOY

She completed her secondary and high school education at Bursa Girls' High School, her university education at Uludağ and Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and her doctoral education at Ankara University, Department of Animal Science on the field of reproductive biotechnology and animal breeding. Dilek Arsoy received her post-doctoral training on “reproductive biotechnologies in farm animals and the use of nuclear techniques in reproductive biotechnologies” at Utrecht University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Netherlands. At the same time, She has certificates such as Strategic Plan, (ISO 22000:2018) Food safety management system documentation training, (ISO 9001) Quality Management System Standard and Documentation, (ISO 19011:2018), Internal Auditor Training, (ISO 22000 CQI and IRCA ISO 22000:2018) Lead Auditor Training, Industrial and Medical Radiation Protection and Project Management circle, biodiversity, entrepreneurship etc.

She worked as a faculty member at Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Science, as a Researcher Dr., Health Specialist Dr., Assoc. Dr., in Nuclear Biotechnology, Radiation Protection, International Project CERN and IAEA project management in Turkey Atomic Energy Lalahan and Sarayköy Nuclear Animal Health Research Centre and headquarters. Currently, Prof. Dr. Dilek Arsoy is the Head of the Department of Animal science and Nutrition, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Vocational School of Health Services, Lab and Vet. Vocational School of Health Services, Faculty of Agriculture, founding faculty member and department head of the Department of Animal Science, founding faculty member and head of the Institute of Postgraduate Education Department of Animal Husbandry. She is a member of NEU, animal ethics committee, Izmir chamber of veterinary public health and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) scientific and technical support committee. She is a member of Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Farm Animal Physicians, Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights, Food Ethics Association and other professional associations.

Her work and education areas is Reproductive biotechnologies and nuclear techniques, livestock animal breeding (including cats, dogs, lab animals), animal rights and welfare, livestock policies and economics, veterinary public health and ONE health. She participated in many national and international scientific projects on these subjects as a researcher and project coordinator and made scientific publications. In addition, she has awareness raising activities on veterinary public health, animal breeding and health, food safety in written and visual media.

She is also the editor and chapter writer of the book "From Breeding to Culture Goat in Turks". Sustainable Goat Production in Adverse Environments Book: Volume 1: Welfare, Health and Breeding, Heat Stress Effects on Water Metabolism of Goats in Harsh Environments and Veterinary Public Health and One Health in Combating Zoonosis and Problems and Solutions in Livestock in Turkey, Current One Health; Evolution of thought from zoonotic threats to climatic disasters and ecotoxicological problems ; She is among the chapter authors in her books.
