Department of Anatomy

Department of Anatomy has started its departmental studies as part of the Faculty of Veterinary of Near East University at the academic year of 2011-2012. The Head of Department, Prof. Dr. R. Merih HAZIROĞLU, previously Head of Department of Anatomy of the Faculty of Veterinary of Ankara University, now has been appointed the Head of Department . The Department of Anatomy of Faculty of Veterinary of Near East University has been founded with the support of the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. R. Merih HAZIROĞLU, and other academic staff; Prof. Dr. Ahmet ÇAKIR, Prof. Dr. İsmail Önder ORHAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağdaş OTO, Dr. Okan EKİM, and Research Assistants.

Anatomy is a science which deals with the structure of animals and plants (fauna and flora). The shape and structure of the organs and tissues which shape the living organism are identified and are closely examined macroscopically within the field of veterinary medicine.

The Department of Anatomy facilitates the following practical and theoretical modules as part of its undergraduate program: Anatomy I, Anatomy II, Anatomy III, Topographic Anatomy, Techniques of Preparing Anatomic Preparations and Dissection and Exenteration of Domestic Mammals
