Mir Sajjad HEJAZI was born in 1980 in Tabriz, Iran. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2004 and completed his PhD in Veterinary Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology in Tehran in 2008. In 2005, he joined the Department of Anatomy as a full-time faculty member.

Dr. Hejazi has published more than 60 scientific articles in international and national journals, completed six research projects, and supervised more than 30 DVM theses. Throughout his academic career, he has held several academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Anatomy, Director of the Department of Basic Sciences, and member of the Educational and Research Councils of the Faculty.

In 2021, he was elected as a board member of the Iranian Association of Veterinary Anatomical Sciences (IAVAS). He was recognized as Researcher of the Year in Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and received recognition as a winner at the New Ideas Festival in 2022. He has also received national and international recognition for his artistic activities in caricature and cartoon design.

Dr. Hejazi is proficient in four languages: Persian, Turkish, English, and Arabic. In 2022, he joined the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Near East University as a full-time faculty member and was appointed Head of the Department of Anatomy. At Near East University, he teaches Veterinary Anatomy in both English- and Turkish-medium programs and has contributed to teaching, research, academic administration, and student supervision.

During his service at Near East University, Dr. Hejazi was promoted to the academic rank of Associate Professor of Veterinary Anatomy in recognition of his academic, teaching, research, and professional achievements.
