Çağrı Gültekin was born in Samsun, in 1980. He finished Eryaman High School in 1996. In 1998, he entered the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ankara, and graduated in 2005. In 2006, he entered doctorate program as a PhD student at the Department of Surgery and, in 2012, he was awarded his doctorate from the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ankara University. After working as a veterinary surgeon in private veterinary clinics for 2 years, he started to work in Near East University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Surgery in September 2014. In 2019, he was appointed as an assistant professor at Near East University. In 2023, he was entitled to receive the title of associate professor from the Interuniversity Board of the Republic of Turkey.

He is interested in veterinary soft tissue surgery, eye diseases and surgery, dental diseases and surgery, and anesthesia and reanimation. There are published national and international various articles, oral and poster presentations related to this topics. Presently he give lectures on these topics at the Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and  the Laboratorian and Veterinary Health Technician (Vocational School of Health Sciences).
