Faculty members from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Near East University, successfully represented our university at the 11th National & 5th International Congress of the Turkish Society for Veterinary Gynecology (TVJD 2025)—one of the leading scientific events in the field of veterinary obstetrics and gynecology.
Held between October 30 and November 2, 2025, at Liberty Hotels Lykia, Fethiye/Muğla, the congress brought together numerous national and international academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest scientific developments, research findings, and innovations in clinical practices related to veterinary obstetrics and gynecology.
From the Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Selim Aslan, Prof. Dr. İsfendiyar Darbaz, Asst. Prof. Dr. Feride Zabitler Tepik, Res. Asst. Dila Yürekli, and Res. Asst. Ediz Atamert represented our university at the event.
During the congress:
- Prof. Dr. İsfendiyar Darbaz presented a paper titled “Evaluation of Follicle Counts During the Estrous Cycle Using 3D Ultrasonography in Dairy Cows for Ovum Pick-Up Applications.”
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Feride Zabitler Tepik delivered a presentation titled “Hormonal and Acute-Phase Protein Changes in Ewes: Associations with Pregnancy Negative-Positive, Embryonic Death and Litter Size.”
- Res. Asst. Dila Yürekli presented a poster titled “Transmissible Venereal Tumor and Triple Blood Parasite Infections: Leishmaniasis, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis.”
The scientific presentations delivered by our faculty members significantly contributed to enhancing the academic visibility of the Near East University and strengthening its research capacity in the field of veterinary sciences at both national and international levels.
The Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine continues to promote scientific knowledge production, support innovative research, and make qualified academic contributions that shape the future of veterinary medicine.
