Prof. Dr. Selim ASLAN

He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He worked as a veterinarian in Bad-Hersfeld near Frankfurt. In 1985, he started  at the Ankara University,  Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as a Research Assistant. In 1987, as a result of the acceptance of a project written by him, he received a scholarship from the Austrian Government (ÖAAD) and worked with Prof.DDr.K. Arbeiter in Austria in the field of clinical and research (large, small animals). He completed his PhD in Austria in 1992 with ten additional publications. In 1993 he became associate professor and in 2000 professor. In 1995 and 1998 he was a visiting professor at the University of Vienna. He was twice awarded a DAAD Fellowship in Germany (Munich and Hannover) in different periods. He was active in designing and conducting scientific projects in different countries (Switzerland, Vienna, Germany). He participated in conferences and presented seminars in Germany (Berlin, Munich, Giessen, Hannover, Leipzig, Ulm), Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Holland, Italy, France, USA, Serbia .... He worked in herd management programs in different South American countries. He is a Consultant for twenty international journals. He has over a hundred international publications excluding national publications. He has participated as a participant and speaker in more than 70 international congresses in different countries. He is involved in the organization and execution of international scientific projects.
