Osman Ergene was born in Nicosia, in 1983. He studied at Akdogan Elementary School. After obtaining his high school diploma from Turk Maarif College, he continued his study in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ankara University. While studying in his department, he applied for Erasmus student exchange programme and was awarded to study at Bologna University in Italy for six months. He was graduated from this department in the year 2005. In 2009, he was awarded his doctorate in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ankara University. He joined as a lecturer in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Near East University in the same year.
In 2010, he was awarded scholarship from European Union to study and make research at Bologna University in Italy. He was inducted as Assist. Prof. at the same faculty on 16 December 2011. Osman ERGENE who gained the title of Assist. Prof. on 16 December 2011, was inducted as Deputy Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
On November 5, 2014, he was appointed as the Head Doctor at the Near East University Animal Hospitaluntil 2022. He is working as a lecturer at the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology norw. He is married and have 2 child. He speaks English at advanced level.
