Fatma K. YILDIRIM was born in Nicosia in 1984. She completed her primary education at Vadili Primary School and her secondary education at Şht. Hüseyin Ruso completed her high school education at Nicosia Turkish Maarif College. She graduated from Balıkesir University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology in 2006. In the same year, she started working at the Near East University Herbarium Center. Between 2007 and 2010, she continued to work while continuing her master's degree in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Botany, Faculty of Pharmacy, Near East University. As of February 2013, she started working at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In 2016, she started her doctorate education at the Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Food Hygiene and Technology. In 2022, she defended her doctoral thesis titled "Determination of Microbiological, Physicochemical, Sensory and Probiotic Properties of Four Herb Kefir During Its Shelf Life" and received the title of Doctor of Science. She is married and has two children.
