In the Department of Biochemistry, information is given about the roles of organic compounds such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, enzymes, minerals, vitamins, and hormones, which constitute the basic building blocks of living things and are essential for the maintenance of life, as well as nucleic acids, enzymes, minerals, vitamins and hormones in the functioning of living metabolism.

In the Department of Biochemistry, undergraduate courses titled Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry I, Biochemistry II, Physiopathology, and Metabolic Relationship between Tissues and Organs are given theoretically and practically.
